John, that's because Washington Elementary was a long, long time ago. More that 40 years. I've been thinking about the people I went to elementary school with that passed away too early. Sandy Lommen died before the first reunion. Dusty Fortier was the same. I believe a McKeever sister also passed away early. It seems like just yesterday we were building forts and learning to color in Mrs. Miller's kindergarden class.

I am finally getting around to this. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to Rae Ann, Pam, Cindy, Lora, and anyone else involved in making this year's reunion a success. It was fun to visit with some of the folks who I haven't seen in 30 years. Wow has time gone by. It was a lot of fun.

Somehow we need to get together before the 40 year or before we all turn the big 50. I don't know how we could do this, but I am sure we could figure out something.

Take care everyone and we will see you the next time around.

My sister's class ('77)had a 50th birthday party for all who could attend. I think it was in the fall last year. They just got together at the country club for an evening.

Hey, Everyone, this is Renae Lee. I am so glad everyone had so much fun at the 30th Class Reunion. I decided at the last minute, I was too tired from driving from the Indian Reservation with a couple of VA VET Buddies. I was not much in the mood to socialize after that trip, but hopefully we can all get together and have a big "50" Birthday Bash Celebration somewhere!

Kim, I remember Sandy, and I knew Dusty. Is Lynn McKeever the sister you mentioned? Ray, would have been nice to see you and Diane but hopefully the next time. Haven't gotten my pictures developed yet, but I'll post them if it works out. I spent more time talking . A 50th sounds good

hey everybody! i am very sad that i missed out on the reunion, and everyone i've spoken to said it was a blast. i had a family vacation planned that i was unable to change around thus the reason i missed it. the enthusiasm, warm sentiments, and genuine friendship i've seen on this forum are palpable, and 2019 seems like a very long time away. i'm not sure if it's been given consideration, but given that it was a combined reunion with the Red River class, what about a 35 year reunion? it sounds as though there would enough interest from everyone to make it worthwhile.

S'up Jim! Anything is possible.

You guys are great! I love the idea of a "50th" Birthday Bash and a 35 year reunion rather than waiting until 40, 2019 really does seem like a long way off. I would also like to apologize I have been a little remiss in updating some requests that I have had. I have added both John and Sandy Lommen to the 'In Memory' page. Kim if you or anyone else has more details I can add that to Sandy. Hope everyone is having a wonderful fall! Keep in touch!

Hey Jim
One of my friends was on RR's committee I'll check and see if they have had any conversation on 35 instead of waiting for the 40.

Hay guys, If you give Diane and I 5 years notice I think there is a good possibility that we will be there. Under 5 years notice and it is highly unlikely, just kidding. RAY

Hello All,

I wanted to let everyone that is still using this forum know that we are planning a benefit for Julie Spivack-Wynne. She is fighting Stage 2 breast cancer. If anyone would like to help with the benefit, please call me--218-791-7336. I will keep you posted through this site, or if you facebook, let me know as I will post through there as well. Keep Julie in your prayers!!

Hey Rae Ann, a 35 year reunion sounds good. Glad to be heard! :) A 50 party would be cool too. For us "out of towners", as much notice as possible would be appreciated. I'm also on the RR website as a guest, and I'll look on their message forum to see if it's been discussed and will report back.

Rhonda, I'm terribly sorry to hear that about Julie, and my thoughts and prayers are with her during this difficult time. I looked for you both on FB and didn't see either of you. Next time you're on, look me up under - James P Sonne. Please do pass on my best wishes when you can.

Rae Ann & fellow classmates, I did check out the RR message forum, and there was quite a bit of discussion similar to ours about not waiting for a 40, and initiating a 35 year reunion or something sooner. They too seemed to be anxious to re-connect sooner rather than later. I think it's probably the norm that reunions happen every 5 years at a certain point (though I don't know this for fact) And..... Rae Ann since you did such a fab job on coordinating this one, and are looking for something to fill in your time........ :)

Signed,

Feeling Left Out In Maryland

A 35 year reunion sounds great. I only found out about the 30th about a month before the event and I live in Grand Forks. Let me know if you need any help.

Again you guys are great! We'll see what we can do to get things moving for confirming a 35 year reunion. I guess someone needs to make a decision. Probably a group of someones that would like to be on the committee. I will say it wasn't real time consuming and lots of fun. I'm game (again)!

Had a great time at the reunion! It was good to see everybody. It was such a good idea to have both high schools together as I lived right on the line, having gone to South Junior, but having many friends from Red River.

I travel back to GF to see my dad often. It always feels good to drive by the schools and relive the memories, but it meant so much more this time to have been able to see and talk to those people I made all those memories with.

I don't think we should wait 'til the 40th, waiting 10 more years to see everyone again is just too long!

Rae Ann, As I become better with the computer, I will be ready to help out with the next project. PS Say "hi" to Rob. I will send him an email since I need the practice. Pete

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year fellow classmates!

Happy New Year everybody! Finally getting on the computer on a day off from work. With three kids playing hockey I don't have much "free" time. Wished I could've been at the reunion but would love to go to the next one. 35 year reunion or "50th" would be great. We can't be 50 yet, can we??!!! Where have the years gone? I remember it like yesterday walking the halls of Central. Good years for me. I get back to GF sometimes to visit family. Gonna try to give some of you a call when I'm in town and have some time to visit. Take care, have a great day! Kim (Kroeber) Buchholz

Finally got the pictures posted, although not many. Can someone identify the person standing next to JB? Also, any more thought about a 50th b-day get together? Some of us old timers are curious.

I would like us to continue with the web site and would be willing to help with the costs. What about doing some type of fund raiser. Would be a great opportunity to get together and any extra can go into the account for an even bigger bash in 5 years! Beers to y'all..

Dave, I agree with you 100%. In the spirit of keeping this site alive, please write a check for $5,000, made payable to me, and I will see that it gets put to good use and oh yea the website too. Let me know if you would prefer to have it directly deposited into my bank account...
